A Big Thank You for the Blog Tour

A Big Thank You for the Blog Tour

The blog tour for The Roommates started on 24 October and finished yesterday. I’d like to say a big thank you to all the bloggers who participated. They all gave their precious free time to prepare and post blogs about my book.  I’m also grateful to the many other bloggers, authors and readers who wrote reviews or retweeted the reviews of others.

A big thank you also to Jen Harlow at HarperCollins who helped me organise the tour, and to the readers who’ve already posted their reviews on Amazon.

Authors rely on reviews to get the word out to potential readers so I am so grateful to the people who have taken the time and trouble to read The Roommates, then write about and promote it.

I check Amazon and Good Reads frequently so if you ever read The Roommates, I’d love to see your thoughts. Another great place for book reviews is BookBub. Please click here to follow me and to see the reviews I’ve written about my recent reads.

Reviews from the Blog Tour

I think I’ve gathered all the tweeted blog tour reviews here, but if I’ve missed any, please let me know and I’ll correct the post. Please click on the blog names to read the full reviews.

Jen Med Book Reviews: “The sense of place, amongst the old buildings of a college campus and the madness of Freshers Week, is all captured perfectly …this was a gripping thriller in which I was hooked from very early on.”

The Ginger Book Geek: “Rachel Sargeant has done it again and she has written one heck of a fantastic book that had me totally gripped and on the edge of my seat.”

Liz Loves Books: “If you love a good psychological thriller this one will hit the mark nicely, with a compelling story and emotional finale.”

Hooked from Page One: “Rachel captures the buzz, and the excitement in her writing as new students begin to get to know each other as they settle into their new routine…This is a really well written thriller which you can easily sink into. Rachel’s writing is very immersive.”

The Book Scoop: “I enjoy reading books where I am surprised by the direction the author takes and I was not disappointed by the twists and turns in this story.”

Stef Loz Book Blog: “Beautifully written and very easy to read, I felt like I was there on campus with them.”

Over The Rainbow Book Blog: “Once again the author has written a realistic, twisty thriller which was hard to put down.”

Nicki’s Life of Crime: “… keeps the reader guessing and frantically turning the pages from the first page, right through to the breath taking conclusion … Rachel Sargeant`s best book so far. Worth far more than five stars and very highly recommended.”

Locky Loves Books: “The girls were all quite different and it was fun to see them clash as they learnt more about each other. … I’ve got Rachel’s other two books, The Perfect Neighbours and The Good Teacher, on my Kindle so I’ll definitely be bumping these up my pile now!”

Head in the Pages: “This was a quick, suspenseful read for me and I really enjoyed it!”

Sarah’s Book Reviews: “Rachel writes fantastic psychological thrillers and The Roommates is the perfect read to curl up with now the nights are drawing in.”

By the Letter Book Reviews: “The Roommates is a novel that didn’t take me long to settle into at all. There is a lot of suspense and my mind was going into overdrive as to what was being withheld from us and to what was in store. … My first book by the author and certainly won’t be my last.”

Once Upon a Time Book Blog: “The Roommates is a book that is full of mystery and suspense that will have you hooked and reading well into the night. This book definitely keeps you on your toes and ends with a jaw dropping finale which I loved.”

Books from Dusk Till Dawn: “I couldn’t put this book down there was no place to stop. A super read.”

Clare Chase: “A tense and claustrophobic page-turner – the perfectly metered drip-feed of information leaves you constantly hungry for more. The main characters take matters into their own hands as events threaten to overwhelm them, further upping the pace and leading to a terrific finale.”

I also had a lovely interview post with Chat About Books and an extract post with Steph’s Book Blog.
